What is the difference between a set and a run in Rummy?
In Rummy, a set consists of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. For example, a set could be the 7 of hearts, 7 of clubs, and 7 of spades. A run, on the other hand, is a sequence of three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive order, such as the 4, 5, and 6 of diamonds. Both sets and runs are essential formations for winning in Rummy, as the main objective is to meld all your cards into these valid groups before your opponents.
